The patterns in our decisions
In every second of every day, we are forced to make decisions in order for us to progress in life. Some of these decisions take very little thought while others are strategically thought out, measured, and debated.
What colour of socks will I put on this morning? What will I have for breakfast? Have I put enough thought and data in the report I need to present? Are the actions I’m taking going to better myself or my peers in some way?
Data informed decisions are systemic and align with the strategic goals that we have deemed measurable enough to matter to us.
Here at BizXcel, we undertook an exciting project to customize our Insurance Analytics tool for Mutual Assurance Society of Virginia who made a strategic decision to leverage their analytics through a partnership with BizXcel. Our tool utilizes the data maintenance capabilities of Guidewire InsuranceNow to enhance insurance companies reporting abilities, data analytics and visualization functionality. The BizXcel Insurance Analytics tool, powered by Qlik Sense, has been developed specifically to deliver value to organizations in the insurance industry by powerfully accessing the actionable data being maintained and thus enabling accurate insights to support critical business decisions. You can view the Mutual Assurance Society of Virginia go-live brief here.
There are patterns in our decisions, as you can see, and in a great new blog post by Kevin Hanegan of Qlik, he unlocks the three doors to great decision-making using data. View the blog post here.
